Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Bhubaneswar will host the 84th Annual Convention of the Indian Road Congress (IRC), marking the sixth time Odisha organizes this prestigious event. Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja chaired the first preparatory meeting to ensure smooth execution and high-standard arrangements.
The IRC guides road engineers, planners, and policymakers to improve national road quality, safety, and management. Established in 1934, IRC has shaped India’s road infrastructure significantly. The 84th convention, scheduled at Janata Maidan, promises a landmark event in the state’s history, featuring professional discussions, exhibitions, and cultural programs.
Over 2,000 delegates from different states and international participants will attend. The convention will hold the 235th Council Meeting on November 7, the 85th Executive Board Meeting on November 8, the 84th Business Session on November 9, and the 236th Council Meeting on November 10. Each day will feature thematic presentations, research findings, and technical discussions aligned with IRC objectives.
