Bhubaneswar : A state-level skill development workshop was organized at the Convention Centre of Lok Seva Bhavan for Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), Project Officers, and District Social Welfare Officers. The event aimed at enhancing their capabilities in effective service delivery, with a strong emphasis on sensitivity and digital empowerment.

During the workshop, officials were encouraged to adopt a more empathetic approach towards their duties and utilize digital tools to strengthen Anganwadi centres across Odisha. A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the AWESOME App (Anganwadi Welfare & Services Oversight Monitoring Everywhere), designed to improve real-time monitoring and oversight of services related to women and child development.
In a significant move towards inter-institutional collaboration, the Department of Women & Child Development also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development. The agreement aims to bolster research, training, and innovation in the domain of child and women welfare services.
This initiative marks a forward-looking step in leveraging technology and partnerships to enhance grassroots service delivery and social welfare mechanisms in the state.
