Bhubaneswar : The political soil of Nuapada, Vote Battle is heating up after the date announcement for by-election . While all parties are making strategy for by poll and candidates selection factors which will be helpful for parties to win seat has become much discussed in state politics

Nuapada has a high tribal vote share, tribal voters will be the factors for change. More than thirty percentage of population of district are tribal so it will be a Major factor for upcoming Bypoll.
Nuapada’s demography is a delicate mix tribal communities, OBC farmers, and migrant labour families form the heart of the electorate. Winning their trust requires understanding both economic pain and cultural pride.

BJP has been making steady inroads in tribal belts, banking on central schemes like PM Awas Yojana and Ujjwala. The BJD, meanwhile, counters with its Mission Shakti and Mo Sarkar programs, highlighting its welfare record.
The ruling dispensation has already fired the first shot with a Rs 1,100-crore development package for Nuapada a move seen as both proactive governance and strategic timing.

As per source BJP will take all decisions keeping in mind the sentiments of the local people, especially the tribal voters, who form a large share of the electorate in the constituency.

Expert opines that the Nuapada by-election will serve as an important test for the new BJP government in Odisha, particularly in western Odisha where tribal votes play a decisive role. BJP’s strategy of emphasizing local sentiment and development could be a key deciding factor.

If politics is local, Nuapada is the proof. Here, the candidate’s face matters more than the party flag.
Both BJD and BJP are scanning for candidates with deep community roots and clean images. The people of Nuapada want to see a familiar face who understands their problems.

Amid grand narratives, Nuapada’s core issues remain unchanged irrigation, migration, and market access.
Farmers lament irregular paddy procurement, while youths seek skill centres to curb migration. Women self-help groups demand micro-credit expansion and health facilities.

For BJD, victory would reinforce its emotional bond with voters and prove that legacy politics still holds ground.
For BJP, a win would signal that its post-2024 momentum in western Odisha is no fluke. For Congress, even a respectable performance could mark a symbolic comeback.

Behind every ballot lies a blend of grief, hope, and expectation a test not just of party power, but of credibility in one of Odisha’s most politically aware constituencies.
