New Delhi : Marking five transformative years of the National Education Policy 2020, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan hailed NEP as a game-changer in India’s journey towards becoming a knowledge superpower.

Launched under the visionary leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, NEP 2020 has redefined education placing learning at the core of nation-building and drawing from India’s civilisational wisdom.
From play-based learning in Balvatikas, mother tongue instruction, and skill education from Class 6, to a surge in women’s participation in STEM, NEP’s impact is now visible across schools and labs. Initiatives like NIPUN Bharat, Vidya Pravesh, Jaadui Pitara (in 22 languages), Indian Sign Language as a subject, and training of 14+ lakh teachers under NISHTHA reflect a bold, inclusive shift.
“NEP 2020 is not just a policy; it is a mission to empower every learner and redefine India’s future,” said Shri Pradhan, celebrating the sweeping changes now visible in schools, colleges, and research labs across the country.
As India steps confidently into its Amrit Kaal, NEP 2020 stands as a beacon of a bold, inclusive, and future-ready education system—rooted in tradition and powered by innovation.
