New Delhi : As the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) formally announced its seat-sharing formula for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, several coalition leaders expressed strong confidence in victory, asserting that the “five Pandava coalition” will once again form the government in the state. The NDA is confident of Pandava coalition win.
On Sunday, the ruling NDA, consisting of five parties in Bihar, unveiled its seat-sharing arrangement, reaffirming its determination to retain power. Moreover, leaders stressed that the coalition’s unity and development focus will drive its success in the polls.
The BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each. Meanwhile, Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) received 29 seats, while Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) will contest six seats each in the 243-member Assembly.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha told reporters: “The NDA has successfully reached a consensus, taking decisions in the best interest of Bihar’s people. Therefore, we will form a government with a huge majority, and I’m confident of a Pandava coalition win.”
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also expressed confidence in the alliance’s prospects, stating that the coalition will announce its candidate list soon. Additionally, he said that the NDA’s coordination and leadership ensure smooth decision-making.
“The NDA has finalised the seat-sharing agreement and feels fully comfortable. Going forward, discussions will determine which party and candidate will contest each seat,” he said, underscoring that the NDA is confident of securing a Pandava coalition win.
Minister Nitin Nabin emphasized that the alliance’s unity and timely decisions reflect strong leadership.
“If the policy is right, the intentions are right, and the leadership is capable, decisions follow at the right time,” Nabin told IANS. Furthermore, he added that collective trust among partners strengthens the NDA’s position.
BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal addressed reporters, noting that formal discussions on candidates will start on Sunday. In fact, he reiterated that the NDA stands united and focused on its mission.
“The NDA has announced its seat-sharing. We will contest the Bihar Assembly elections unitedly as the ‘five Pandava coalition’. Today, we will begin formal candidate discussions,” he said confidently.
