After Rani and Irani political clash people of Nayagarh witnessed another political fight between another BJD and BJP leader. One is BJD’s Dashapala Legislator Ramesh Chandra Behera and another one is BJP’s Kandhamal Parliamentarian Sukanta Panigrahi.

Bhubaneswar , Odisha : BJD’s Dashapala Legislator Ramesh Chandra Behera and another one BJP’s Kandhamal Parliamentarian Sukanta Panigrahi came close with war of words over the inauguration of college library and nameplate. It turned into political battle ground between Dashapalla MLA Ramesh Chandra Behera and Kandhamal BJP Parliamentarian Sukanta Panigrahi. In effect, it was a clear display of nameplate politics right in Nayagarh.

As per report Two Smart library set up in Gania and Nuagaon college premises with one crore rupees during BJD regime. Local Ramesh Behera also donated amount from his own funds. It was scheduled to inaugurate on 11th October 2025 officially. State School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda gond , BJP Parliamentarian Sukanta Panigrahi had to inaugurate the library. But In a dramatic situation MLA Ramesh Behera inaugurated both library with his supporters on 10th Oct. MLA Behera made a nameplate with his own name and part leaders, though this was an official program there was no name of Minister and MP. It created political ruckus in Nayagarh.

Both Minister and MP also inaugurated the same library on 11th Oct officially. Surprisingly the nameplate which was placed by MLA broke by miscreants. In the same place another nameplate having the name of Minister Nityananda Gond and MP Panigrahi but there is no name MLA Ramesh Behera.

With this political tussle intensified between MLA and MP. To show their strength both leaders came out with rally and exchange word of war. MLA Behera said MP Panigrahi is the villain of it and he is behind it. Responding to the allegation of Mr Behera, Sukanta said that MLA should know the dignity of his post. This incident further fueled the nameplate politics observed in Nayagarh.

On the other hand two separate FIR has registered in local Police Station . College authority has filled FIR against MLA Behera allegedly illegal entry to college premises. Supporter of Behera has filled FIR against Panigrahi allegedly broken of nameplate.
