Jharsuguda, Odisha : The Naba Das Foundation hosted a vibrant Nuakhai meet at the MCL Auditorium in Jharsuguda, bringing together local communities, artists, and leaders to celebrate the harvest festival in traditional style. The event witnessed participation from over a hundred attendees, including cultural enthusiasts and dignitaries.
Former MLA Dipali Das graced the occasion as the chief guest. She actively engaged in the celebrations, joining in traditional Sambalpuri dance and songs alongside local women and artists. The event showcased a lively display of Sambalpuri folk music, dance, and cultural performances, captivating the audience with its authenticity.
The program was enriched with performances by several cultural committees, including the Khidmat Committee, Gurudwara Committee, ESAI Chak Durga Puja Committee, and the Guru Padmashree Ghadei Orchestra Group. Guests and artists performed in unison, celebrating Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.
Key organizers and dignitaries included Sudarshan Haripal (MLA, Rengali), Raj Kishor Das, Pratap Nanda, Biswanath Tripathi, Pintu Padhi, and Tapas Ray Chaudhury. Event management was overseen by Swejal Pradhan, Puspanjali Sahu, and Alok Chandra Panigrahi, ensuring a smooth and engaging program for all attendees.
The foundation’s members, including Gajanand Tiwari, Chiranjeevi Pati, Tulasi Das, Sashi Tiwari, Alok Pradhan, Lingraj Mahapatra, Dipa Naik, Navnit Kour, and Nageswari Bonela, actively participated in coordinating and facilitating the cultural activities.
