Mumbai : Actress Mrunal Thakur recently gave her fans a peek into her music playlist, sharing her top five favourite songs on Instagram while getting her makeup done. Music, she noted, has always been a source of inspiration and relaxation for her.
Topping her list is “Mere Dil Ka Wo Shehzada” from Kabhi Na Kabhi (1998). Her second pick is “Kannadi Poove” from Retro (2025), followed by “Ishq Bulaava” from Hasee Toh Phasee (2014). Fourth on the list is “Tere Hawaale” from Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), and rounding it off is “Qaafirana” from Kedarnath (2018).
In the post, Mrunal invited her followers to suggest new tracks, writing: “Suggest me some new songs for my playlist in the comments. Batao Batao.” Fans responded enthusiastically, sharing song recommendations and expressing excitement over her diverse musical taste.
Aside from her musical update, Mrunal also celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with full zeal. She welcomed Ganpati Bappa home, sharing photos and videos of the festivities. One video showed her greeting Bappa with joy, while another featured her posing with modaks and enjoying the prasad. She captioned the post: “Bappa’s homeee nothing feels more special than this. Every year when Bappa comes home, it feels like he brings a little extra light and peace with him. And um, sooo many modaks incoming hehe.”
Work-wise, Mrunal Thakur has been roped in as the lead opposite Adivi Sesh in Dacoit – Ek Prem Katha. The pan-India drama, directed by Shaneil Deo, also features Anurag Kashyap in a key role. The film is backed by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios.
