Mumbai : On the first day of Navratri, the makers of Mardaani 3 unveiled a striking new poster, highlighting the epic battle between good and evil.
Yash Raj Films shared the poster on Instagram on Monday. It shows a close-up of Rani Mukerji’s hand holding a black handgun, pointing downward, with a blurry yellow police barricade in the background displaying “DELHI POLICE.”
The caption read: “On the auspicious Day 1 of Navratri, here’s to celebrating the victory of good over evil. #RaniMukerji returns as top cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3 to investigate the most challenging case of her career. #Mardaani3 in cinemas 27th February, 2026. @abhiraj88 #AdityaChopra.”
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the film will release on February 27, 2026.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Mardaani is the biggest solo female-led franchise in Hindi cinema, launched 11 years ago. The franchise has earned acclaim for its taut storytelling and has developed a cult following among cinephiles.
In Mardaani 3, Rani Mukerji reprises her role as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, who tirelessly fights for justice.
Rani previously described the film as “dark, deadly, and brutal,” instantly sparking curiosity among fans and netizens.
The first film, Mardaani (2014), was directed by Pradeep Sarkar, while the second installment, Mardaani 2 (2019), was directed by Gopi Puthran.
While the first film explored human trafficking, Mardaani 2 focused on a manipulative and dangerous criminal. The franchise is known for creating intense villain characters, who the titular cop ultimately outsmarts, symbolising the triumph of good over evil.
