Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav hit the campaign trail on Friday. This was a day after securing the backing of all Mahagathbandhan partners as the alliance’s Chief Ministerial candidate. He boldly declared that “Making Bihar No. 1 state” is the alliance’s top goal.
Addressing the media before leaving Patna for his high-voltage campaign, Tejashwi said,
“I don’t make broken or false promises. I am firm on my words. Making Bihar number one is our goal, and Making Bihar No 1 state is what we strive for.”
Tejashwi vowed to create a “Chinta Mukt Bihar” for the state’s entire population of 14 crore people. He emphasized welfare, development, and governance. He outlined key priorities, saying the Mahagathbandhan government, if voted to power, will focus on education, health, justice, and employment. They aim to ensure all promises to the electorate are fulfilled.
Highlighting flagship schemes, he mentioned Jeevika Didi and promised government jobs for every family member. This reinforces his commitment to social welfare and inclusive growth.
Earlier in the day, Tejashwi shared a campaign-ready picture with VIP chief Mukesh Sahani aboard a helicopter. He wrote,
“Steps advancing towards the destination with enthusiasm, zeal, hope, and faith!” signaling a vigorous campaign ahead of the two-phase elections.
The announcement of Tejashwi as the Chief Ministerial face came after weeks of intense negotiations and infighting within the alliance. Especially between RJD and Congress over seat-sharing. Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot declared Tejashwi as the CM face during a joint press conference in Patna. He also announced Mukesh Sahani as the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate.
With the Mahagathbandhan unified behind its leaders, Bihar is gearing up for what promises to be a high-stakes, electrifying Assembly election.
