Jharsuguda : Kunal Motiram Chavan officially assumed charge as the new Collector and District Magistrate of Jharsuguda on Friday. A 2020-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Shri Chavan took over the reins from outgoing Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane.
Prior to his new posting, Shri Chavan served as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of the Padmapur sub-division in Bargarh district. He brings with him a reputation for administrative diligence and people-centric governance.
The outgoing Collector, Ms. Aboli Sunil Naravane, has been appointed as the Director of the Industries Department.
The handing-over ceremony was attended by IAS probationer Pragyananda Giri, Additional District Magistrate (General) Brajabandhu Bhoi, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Kishore Chandra Swain, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Mohan Panda, along with several other departmental officials.
