Jharsuguda, Odisha : Jharsuguda Airport has once again landed in controversy as Airport Director Sandeep Tiwari faces serious allegations of physical assault and casteist remarks against a senior staff member. The complaint was filed by Sandeep Minz, a senior assistant at the airport and the current president of the Airport Authority Employees Union.
According to the complaint submitted at the Jharsuguda Airport police station, the incident occurred earlier today when Mr. Minz visited the director’s office to discuss pending staff-related demands. During the conversation, Director Tiwari allegedly used abusive language, hurled casteist slurs, and physically attacked Mr. Minz, punching him in the face and striking him with a fist.
Several airport staff members have backed the claims and co-signed the complaint, demanding immediate action against the director. The matter has now escalated to the attention of both airport authorities and law enforcement.
This isn’t the first time the Jharsuguda Airport Director has come under fire for administrative and behavioural issues, and today’s developments have once again brought the airport’s internal management under scrutiny.
Police have registered the complaint and are expected to initiate a formal investigation into the matter.
