Jharsuguda, Odisha : Jharsuguda police busted an interstate theft gang operating in the city after quickly investigating a local theft case. Last Friday, Usha Rani Sahu, an employee from the Beheramal area who works at the Jharsuguda municipal office, collected ₹50,000 from the post office and headed home in an auto-rickshaw. During the ride, thieves stole the money from her bag.
After she filed a complaint at the police station, officers immediately started an investigation. They tracked the gang across the city and state and caught the main culprits. Police sent four accused to court: Satyapula Gond (50) and Shanti Gond (50) from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, along with Sonu Gond (42) and Anju Gond (50).

Officials said this action shows Jharsuguda police’s commitment to stopping organized interstate thefts and protecting public money. With the interstate Theft Gang Busted, They added that police will continue to monitor such activities to prevent similar crimes in the future and ensure safety for residents and municipal funds.
