Bhubaneswar, Odisha : On the occasion of International Youth Day, Odisha Chief Minister extended warm greetings to the youth of the state, calling them “the pillars of progress, innovation, and social transformation.” He emphasized that a healthy and informed young generation is the foundation of a safe and prosperous Odisha.
Highlighting the challenges posed by lack of awareness, the CM pointed out that issues like HIV/AIDS and other co-infections continue to threaten the future of the youth. To address this, the second year of a dedicated awareness campaign, sponsored by the Central Government, was launched today, with Odisha actively participating. The campaign will run from today until October 11.
The programme will include state-level events along with activities in both rural and urban areas. Special awareness camps will be organized in schools and colleges, targeting youth who are most vulnerable. The campaign aims to spread information on HIV prevention, safe practices, and the importance of proactive health measures.
The Chief Minister urged all educational institutions, youth clubs, and social organizations to participate actively. “An aware and protected youth generation is the foundation of a strong Odisha,” he stated.
