Jharsuguda : In the wake of the recent flooding, Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy today visited Chowkipara and Dipupada in Ward No. 4 under the Municipality limits to assess the damage caused by stagnant floodwater in local ponds and residential areas.

Due to the continuous rainfall and overflow of nearby ponds, several homes in Chowkipara and Dipupada were inundated, disrupting normal life and hindering local transportation. Distressed residents appealed to the MLA for immediate intervention and a permanent solution.
Upon receiving the information, MLA Tripathy promptly informed the Executive Officer of the municipality and rushed to the affected areas. During his visit, he interacted with the locals and directed officials to ensure speedy resolution.
Earlier in the day, municipal engineers had arrived at the site and began the process of draining the stagnant water. A portion of the road was deliberately broken to facilitate water outflow. Notably, MLA Tripathy personally supervised the work and instructed the installation of drainage pipes and urgent road repair.
The visit saw the presence of Jharsuguda Mandal President Aravind Pathak, senior party workers Santosh Yadav, Shailesh Kumar, Naveen Dubey, Pintu Sonkar, Surendra Singh, along with many BJP workers and concerned residents.
MLA Tripathy reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the issue effectively and ensuring that no resident has to suffer due to such waterlogging in the future.
