Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Health Minister Odisha NGO discussions were held today at Lokseva Bhawan, where the minister engaged with various NGOs to strengthen healthcare services and community awareness across the state.
Under Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi’s leadership, the Health Department emphasized quality service delivery and community-level awareness. Dr. Mahaling briefed NGO representatives on their role in achieving these goals and highlighted the upcoming campaign, ‘Susth Nari, Sashakt Parivar,’ to be launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on September 17 from Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh.
The campaign aims to benefit women and girls by improving health outcomes and empowering families. NGOs were advised to actively support the initiative through community engagement, awareness drives, and proper documentation via the Meri LiFE portal and other platforms.
Key officials present included Health Secretary Ashwathi S., NHEM Mission Director Dr. Brinda D., and divisional officers. NGOs from multiple districts joined virtually, offering insights to enhance healthcare accessibility and effectiveness.
Dr. Mahaling encouraged collaboration between NGOs and government bodies to improve women’s and children’s health, nutrition awareness, and preventive care measures. The meeting also focused on monitoring, reporting, and ensuring transparency to achieve measurable outcomes.
This engagement underscores Odisha’s commitment to inclusive, community-driven healthcare, aligning with the objectives of the Susth Nari, Sashakt Parivar campaign and the state’s broader public health goals.
