Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The Bamboo Fodder Production Centre, established in Khaladi village under Begunia block, Ganjam district, under the supervision of Kedar Krushna Panda, has been granted a three-year approval certificate in line with the National Bamboo Mission guidelines.
The certificate was formally issued today at the Odisha Bamboo Development Agency office located within the Forest Department’s main office campus in Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar. The event saw the presence of project director and state mission director, Shri Kartik B., who handed over the official approval certificate.
Earlier, on August 29, the centre was inspected by members of the State-Level Bamboo Fodder Production Committee, who recommended its recognition for its operational standards and adherence to mission protocols.
The approval ceremony was attended by Shri Kartik B., Dr. Prasad Kumar Dash, Scientist at the Biodiversity Board, Dr. Nirakar Bhol, faculty of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Assistant Conservator of Forests Kumari Kashish Behera, and Odisha Bamboo Development Agency Deputy Coordinator Shri Rajanikant Raut. During the event, they collectively acknowledged the centre’s compliance with project standards and its potential contribution to fodder production and rural development.
This initiative is expected to significantly enhance bamboo-based fodder supply in Ganjam, supporting sustainable livestock management, improving rural livelihoods, and aligning with the objectives of the National Bamboo Mission to promote eco-friendly agricultural practices across Odisha.
