Kolabira, Jharsuguda : In a tragic road accident near the Patrapali Chhak-Halkadhipa Road under Kolabira police limits, a motorcyclist lost his life while another was critically injured after their two-wheeler lost control and rammed into a roadside tree.

The mishap occurred near the Opar factory around Monday evening when the OR 23 4193-registered motorcycle veered off course and hit a tree with force. The deceased has been identified as Bhagaban Bag (50), a resident of Rengalpali Badimal village, located close to the accident site. He was reportedly returning home from Jharsuguda, accompanied by Chidia Kisan (55), a fellow villager.

Eyewitnesses stated that the bike skidded and crashed suddenly, causing severe injuries to both riders. Locals immediately rushed them to Kolabira Community Health Centre, where doctors declared Bhagaban Bag dead on arrival.
