New Delhi : The Election Commission of India (ECI) has firmly rejected the recent allegations of voter fraud made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, labeling them as “irresponsible” and “without merit.” The Commission has urged all election officers to continue discharging their duties impartially and ignore politically motivated statements.
In an official response issued on Friday, the ECI stated that it has not received any formal reply or evidence from Rahul Gandhi despite his repeated public accusations. “Instead of providing proof, Mr. Gandhi has been making fresh allegations every day,” the Commission noted.
Addressing the media outside Parliament on Friday, Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of being complicit in voter fraud, particularly in connection with the recent Bihar SIR (Systematic Investigation Report). “This is not a casual remark,” he asserted. “I have concrete evidence of voter manipulation. From top to bottom, those involved in this scam within the Commission will be held accountable.”
The ECI, however, reaffirmed its commitment to conducting free, fair, and neutral elections, stating that “no amount of political pressure or threats will derail the democratic process.”
