Bhubaneswar : Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida on Monday held a virtual interaction with beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana, emphasizing the government’s commitment to women’s economic empowerment through Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The interaction took place at the Mahila and Shishu Vikas Conference Hall in Lok Seva Bhawan, where Parida spoke directly with “Subhadra Sisters” from across various districts.
Addressing the women, the Deputy CM announced that the state government will soon provide interest-free loans of up to ₹10 lakh through SHGs, giving top priority to “Lakhpati Didis” with the goal of transforming them into “Crorepati Didis” in the coming years.
In a post on social media platform X, Parida shared highlights from the session, noting that the dialogue focused on how the women have utilised the financial aid received under the Subhadra scheme and the changes it has brought to their lives.
Based on the insights gathered during the ongoing reviews, the government will design future plans tailored to the needs of these women. “Today’s interaction was a unique effort to connect with Subhadra sisters digitally across the state,” she said.
Parida added that the women expressed how the Subhadra amount has helped them bring transformative changes to their households and livelihoods. “Thanks to Maa Subhadra’s blessings, we are seeing real impact in the lives of these women,” the Deputy CM noted.
