Cuttack, Odisha : In a major Cuttack Vigilance Raid, authorities uncovered massive assets linked to Sri Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant at the City Hospital under the CDMO Office. The anti-corruption team seized two buildings, a poultry farm, 19 high-value plots, cash worth ₹3.50 lakh, gold weighing 135 grams, and bank deposits of ₹44.46 lakh. Vehicles including a Hyundai Santro and three two-wheelers were also recovered.
Sri Sahani entered into Govt. service as Jr. Assistant on 07.01.1997 under rehabilitation scheme and posted at UGPHC, Mahanga under Family Welfare department and worked there till 24.07.2000 and transferred to MO, LEU, Banki and joined there 02.08.2000. On 16.04.2001, he was transferred to the City Hospital, Cuttack and worked there till 18.04.2016. On 01.12.2016, he was promoted to the rank Sr. Assistant and joined at office of CDM & PHO, Cuttack. He has served more than 2 decades in City Hospital, Cuttack.
The Vigilance Technical Wing is conducting detailed valuation of the assets, while other investments are still under scrutiny. Officials said the searches are ongoing and more revelations are expected.
“This is just the initial stage of investigation. Further checks are underway, and the full extent of Sahani’s assets will be revealed soon,” said a senior Vigilance officer.
The case has drawn widespread attention, raising serious concerns over disproportionate wealth among mid-level government staff.
