Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja and Director General of Police Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania conducted an extensive visit to the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) Centre—Dial-112—located at Mancheswar. The senior officials undertook a comprehensive review of the centre’s operational efficiency, modernisation status, and real-time service delivery mechanisms.
During the visit, Chief Secretary Ahuja emphasized the critical need to ensure swift and seamless emergency assistance to citizens in distress. He underscored the importance of minimizing response time and enhancing the readiness of the emergency system to cater to public needs efficiently.
To this end, Shri Ahuja directed officials to strengthen the ERSS infrastructure with adequate human resources, additional emergency response vehicles, and state-of-the-art equipment. He stressed the importance of equipping response vehicles with modern technology to improve real-time field operations.
The visit marked a significant step toward bolstering Odisha’s emergency response capabilities and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to citizen safety and service excellence.
