Jharsuguda is gearing up for a significant visit from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 27, 2025.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend a grand public event at Amlipali Ground, where he will inaugurate, lay foundation stones, and dedicate several key projects to the nation. Preparations for this high-profile visit are in their final stages, with top officials ensuring every detail is meticulously planned.
Today, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is expected to arrive at Jharsuguda’s Veer Surendra Sai Airport via a special flight to inspect the venue and hold discussions with district authorities at the Circuit House. He is likely to meet party workers and spend the night in Jharsuguda.
On September 24, Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and ADG Police Santosh Barla visited Amlipali Ground to review arrangements.
Event Schedule:
- 9:20 AM: PM Modi departs from Delhi via a special flight.
- 11:10 AM: Arrival at Jharsuguda Airport.
- 11:25 AM: Reaches Amlipali Ground for the main event.
- 12:45 PM: Departs for Delhi.
The event is expected to draw a massive crowd of approximately 60,000, including the general public, women, students, and youth. A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary reviewed arrangements, covering security, traffic management, medical services, and more.
Preparations Include:
- Security deployment from the airport to the venue.
- Arrangements at Jharsuguda Circuit House for the PM’s brief stay.
- Stage and seating setup for VVIPs and VIPs.
- Traffic management, road repairs, and barricading.
- Medical and emergency services.
- Uninterrupted power and drinking water supply.
