Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The Odisha government has credited CM Kisan funds to the bank accounts of approximately 51 lakh small and marginal farmers ahead of the Nuakhai 2025 celebrations. Each eligible farmer will receive ₹2,000 under the CM Kisan scheme, providing timely financial support for household and agricultural needs.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized that this initiative ensures farmers can celebrate Nuakhai with financial security and peace of mind. Last year, during Nuakhai 2024, farmers also received CM Kisan funds, marking the continuation of the state’s commitment to supporting its agricultural community.
The CM Kisan scheme now includes all eligible farmers, including those previously excluded from the PM Kisan scheme. Odisha Agriculture Minister KV Singhdeo informed the State Assembly that the initiative ensures comprehensive coverage, continuing the legacy of earlier programs like the Biju Krushak Kalia scheme.
Authorities have ensured smooth transfer of funds to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, prioritizing small and marginal farmers across the state. Farmers from regions such as Sambalpur have expressed their gratitude, noting that the financial aid is crucial in supplementing their income and managing family expenses during the harvest season.
The Odisha government continues to reinforce its commitment to the agricultural sector, ensuring that all eligible farmers benefit from the CM Kisan initiative. This timely financial assistance ahead of Nuakhai strengthens rural livelihoods and promotes overall economic stability for farming communities.
