Kolkata: Halloween Party at Park Street Social | Kolkata. This Halloween, SOCIAL offered its annual dose of horror and spookiness, which grows more popular every year. Known as the City of Bhoy, Kolkata Halloween events are particularly unique and exciting. Stepping into Corporate Hell felt like walking through Times Square during Halloween. An “eerie office” stood as the epicenter of horror. Tombstones symbolised the missed targets. Skeletons with grumpy faces haunted the place, looking even more underpaid than Indian peasants during the British rule. The “one and only” KPI danced like Hrithik Roshan on the floor.

Shops in the New Market area now stock skeletons and witch figures. Although Halloween began as a celebration in the West, the people of Kolkata have embraced it wholeheartedly. Houses, cafés, and hotels glow with Halloween décor for this “auspicious occasion.” The New Market area, usually known for selling clothes and Durga Puja decorations, has added a spooky twist selling witch, monster, and ghost costumes along with eerie props.

Residents of the “City of Joy,” especially teenagers, crowd the New Market streets to buy their favourite costumes and decorations. The little ones gather courage to play with these “scary beings” of their choice. The streets of the “City of Joy,” usually shining with lights, banners, and grand pandals during Durga Puja, now resemble a Maddock horror movie set with ghosts, witches, and monsters roaming around.
The City of Bhoy Kolkata Halloween truly shows how the city blends joy with spookiness. From Park Street Social to New Market, the City of Bhoy Kolkata Halloween celebration proves that Kolkata turns every occasion into a festival of life and thrill.
