New Delhi: As millions of devotees across India celebrate the third day of Chhath Puja, leaders from all major parties shared warm Chhath Puja greetings on social media. They wished that the festival fills everyone’s lives with renewed energy, joy, and prosperity.

This year, the four-day Chhath Puja 2025 festival runs from October 25 to 28. It honors Lord Surya (Sun God) and Chhathi Maiya with deep devotion. Moreover, the third day, known as Sandhya Arghya, holds special significance as devotees directly offer evening prayers to the setting Sun. Homes glow with the aroma of traditional prasad like thekua, laddu, khajuria, tikri, and kasar, which families lovingly place in bamboo baskets for offering.

Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge shared heartfelt wishes, saying,

“May this sacred occasion infuse new energy, enthusiasm, and boundless joy into everyone’s life.” He also highlighted the importance of nature, devotion, and India’s timeless faith in both the rising and setting Sun.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also sent his Chhath Puja greetings, calling the festival a symbol of devotion, faith, and deep connection with nature.

“May Lord Surya and Chhathi Maiya make your life bright and prosperous,” he said.

In addition, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Arvind Kejriwal, and Sanjay Kumar Jha joined the chorus of festive wishes. They highlighted the spirit of faith, purity, and gratitude that defines Chhath Puja. Kejriwal praised fasting mothers and sisters for their strength and dedication, praying that the festival brings peace and happiness to all.

As the golden hues of the setting Sun light up ghats across the country, devotees gather to pray, fast, and express gratitude. They thank the divine energy of the Sun for sustaining life on Earth, reinforcing the spirit of purity, harmony, and devotion that makes Chhath Puja so special.
