Bangiriposi police intensify probe into Dwarashuni Ghati bus crash
Mayurbhanj, Odisha : A tragic road accident shook National Highway-49 at Dwarashuni Ghati in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday morning when a bus accident occurred in Dwarashuni Ghati . The bus overturned onto a car, leaving four people critically injured and more than ten others hurt.

Eyewitnesses said a private bus named Shree Ganesh was heading from Bisoi to Bangiriposi. While overtaking a car on the steep Dwarashuni curve, the driver lost control, and the bus toppled onto the car, crushing it underneath.
Locals immediately alerted the authorities. Within minutes, Bangiriposi fire service personnel and ambulance teams reached the site of the Dwarashuni Ghati bus accident and rescued the injured passengers. They then rushed them to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Bangiriposi police have started investigating the cause of the bus accident and are working to determine whether speeding or negligence led to the mishap. Officers have also cleared the wreckage to restore smooth traffic on the busy NH-49.
Residents say the Dwarashuni Ghat stretch often claims lives due to sharp turns and the absence of safety barriers, urging the administration to improve road safety measures immediately after the recent Dwarashuni Ghati , Mayurbhanj.
