Political Heat Rises in Nuapada Ahead of Bypoll

Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Ahead of the Nuapada Bypoll, the political atmosphere has been changing rapidly with every passing moment. The battle has now turned intense as heavyweight and high-profile leaders have joined the campaign across the region. Meanwhile, amid the ongoing political drama, a new scene unfolded at a public meeting attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singhdeo, and other senior leaders of the Lotus party.

BJP Snatched BJD’s Trademark: Dholakia Image Sparks Storm

Interestingly, the image that was once the trademark of the BJD was now seen on a BJP banner. The photograph of late BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia appeared on BJP’s campaign banner at Gotama in Nuapada district. Rajendra, who was the only BJD leader and a trademark face for the conch party in Nuapada, has now, surprisingly, become part of BJP’s campaign material.

BJP Snatched BJD’s Trademark ? BJD Slams the Party

Through this move, the saffron party seems to aim at drawing sympathy from the late leader’s followers by showcasing his legacy. Consequently, politics in the region has warmed up after BJP used his photograph, sparking widespread debate across party lines. While the BJD alleges that it is an attempt to mislead voters, the BJP, on the other hand, claims it is a gesture of honour to Dholakia. Therefore, the question now arises will Rajendra Dholakia’s name, once tied to the BJD’s green, now carry the BJP’s saffron to victory?
