Mumbai : Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, fondly known as Big B, has shared a spine-chilling experience from his jungle safari in Africa. The actor revealed the incident on the latest episode of his quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), where he recalled how an elephant once chased his safari convoy.
In a new promo released by the show’s makers on Tuesday, Bachchan narrated that during his visit to an African safari park, his group faced an unusual traffic jam. Curious, he asked the reason and was told an elephant was blocking the road. “We couldn’t move until the elephant moved, so we sat quietly,” he recalled.
However, one impatient tourist tried to speed past the elephant. Annoyed, the giant creature pushed the car violently and then charged toward the rest of the vehicles. “All the cars quickly went into reverse gear and began driving back. The elephant kept chasing us for nearly five miles,” Bachchan said.
He further described how the situation turned more frightening when the elephant turned its attention toward the traffic jam. Fortunately, wildlife rangers intervened and diverted the animal. “One of the rangers did something, and the elephant went to meet his wife. We were saved,” the actor added with relief.
The veteran star’s candid retelling not only thrilled his audience but also served as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of wild animals. His jungle safari story has since gone viral, sparking conversations among fans about respecting wildlife and the importance of patience during safaris.
