Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra 2025 will take place from 5th to 14th November along the scenic Kuakhai River, just like previous years. Today, Additional District Magistrate Shri Rudra Narayan Mohanty chaired a preparatory meeting at the local Circuit House to finalize festival arrangements.
Officials from the Bali Jatra Festival Committee and the district administration discussed the festival layout, stalls, and cultural programs. They also discussed safety measures. Shri Mohanty emphasized that,
Bali Jatra is a symbol of Odisha’s identity and heritage, and the administration will provide all necessary support to ensure a smooth and successful festival.
This year, organizers plan to showcase state products for sale. They will also host cultural performances, traditional displays, and heritage celebrations. This will create a vibrant experience for locals and visitors alike.
The committee and administration also outlined plans for lighting, road repairs, parking management, and police deployment. Plans include drinking water and sanitation facilities, food safety checks, emergency medical services, security, and traffic control. Officials instructed all departments to implement these measures efficiently.
Committee advisor Shri Golak Mahapatra called for full cooperation from everyone to ensure the festival’s success. Executive chairman Shri Yashobanta Ojha presented the overall plan. Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr. Manoranjan Sahu and other officials actively contributed during the discussions. This included District Council Additional Chief Development Officer Smt. Kasturibala Jena and Bhubaneswar Video Coordinator Shri Devi Prasad Mohanty.
The meeting reinforced the need for coordinated efforts between the administration and festival committee. This will help make Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra 2025 safe, well-organized, and culturally vibrant. With effective planning and collaboration, the festival promises to be a grand celebration of Odisha’s tradition. It will also highlight commerce and community spirit along the Kuakhai River.
