Bargarh, Odisha : A 13-year-old minor girl from Firingimal village under Gaiselet police limits in Odisha’s Bargarh district attempted self-immolation by pouring petrol on herself this morning.
According to source The minor girl sustained severe burn injuries and was first rushed to Bargarh District Headquarters Hospitaland then shifted to VIMSAR, Burla.
According to preliminary reports, the girl’s father was away working as a migrant labourer at the time of the incident. She had been staying at her maternal uncle’s home for her studies. The exact reason behind the extreme step remains unclear, and police are investigating.
