Bhubaneswar, Odisha : If God is with someone, none can harm. In a miraculous incident of a baby born on train, a woman passenger traveling on the Gurudev Express gave birth to a baby girl. This happened inside the train’s washroom at Khurda Road Railway Station on Tuesday. Both the mother and the newborn are reported are safe. As per reports, the woman, identified as Champa Devi, was traveling with her husband Jitendra Das from Koyil Nagar in Tamil Nadu to Shalimar in Kolkata when the baby was born on the train. The family was onboard coach S6 of the train. Suddenly, Champa Devi experienced severe labor pains as the train reached Khurda Road.
Alert co-passengers quickly informed railway employee. RPF staff rushed to the coach to provide assistance. The railway medical team was also alerted and was on its way to the platform, where they heard of the baby born on train.
However, before the medical staff could reach, Champa Devi delivered the baby inside the train’s washroom. Women co-passengers helped her. The news of the birth spread quickly among passengers. Many extended support during the tense moments. Following the delivery and the miraculous event of her baby born on the train, the mother and newborn were shifted from the train to Jatni Hospital.
