New Delhi: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi recently visited the Kharga Corps to review its operational and drone warfare preparedness, highlighting India’s shift towards modern combat technologies. During the visit, he praised the Kharga Corps for its exceptional drone deployment in Operation Sindoor, as well as innovations in drone design, training, logistics, and welfare for veterans.
The Army Chief emphasized the critical role of advanced tech like drones, AI, and robotics in transforming infantry warfare and enhancing tactical efficiency. He also acknowledged the Kharga Corps’ efforts in military-civil fusion, which promotes sustainable security and nation-building. General Dwivedi commended the professionalism, integrity, and dedication of the officers and soldiers.
This visit is part of ongoing efforts to modernize the Indian Army and boost troop morale. Recently, General Dwivedi also reviewed operations in desert terrains at Bikaner Military Station, praising the coordination among forces and the assimilation of emerging technologies to maintain high combat readiness.
The Army Chief stressed seamless coordination among the Armed Forces, government agencies, industry, academia, and society to tackle complex security challenges. He reiterated the importance of veterans’ contributions and humanitarian efforts under operations like Rahat.
General Dwivedi’s inspections reaffirm India’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and integrated defence preparedness amid evolving threats, highlighting the Indian Army’s motto of “Service Before Self” and its resolve to protect the nation with advanced capabilities and unwavering dedication.
