Talcher, Odisha : Talcher residents reacted in shock after four assailants carried out an Armed Robbery With Guns, injuring villagers and looting valuables. Yesterday, the attackers rode a bike into Ghantapada village, brandished firearms, and threatened locals.
The robbers targeted Saty Suman in Bhujali, injuring him and forcibly taking gold jewelry and cash totaling ₹1.55 lakh. They used guns to intimidate the victims before fleeing the scene. Nearby villagers immediately took Suman to the nearest hospital, where doctors provided urgent treatment.
In a related incident, the same gang assaulted Anjali Sahu of Nua Hensamul village. They struck her forcefully and snatched valuables before fleeing. Residents reported that she screamed for help, sustained ear injuries, and the villagers quickly transported her to a local medical facility for care.
Local authorities registered two cases at the police station in connection with these attacks. The community voiced growing concern over safety and urged law enforcement to take swift action to prevent further Armed Robbery With Guns incidents.
Police investigators have begun pursuing the culprits, and officials assured residents that they will intensify security measures and patrolling to catch the attackers and restore safety in the region.
