Laikera/Jharsuguda , Odisha : In a chilling incident that has shaken the local community, masked robbers stormed a house in Kuanrmal village,Laikera tying up an uncle and his nephew before fleeing with cash, gold, a mobile phone, and a licensed firearm. This was a shocking instance of armed robbery in Kuanrmal that left residents in fear.
According to reports, Malaya Nayak and his wife were away in Bhubaneswar for medical treatment when the incident occurred. Their son and nephew, Vijay Kumar Patel, were at home when four intruders, wearing masks, barged in late at night. The gang bound their hands and feet and swiftly looted valuables, including over ₹22,000 in cash, gold ornaments, a mobile phone, and a licensed firearm. This case of armed robbery in Kuanrmal has triggered a significant police investigation.
Following the complaint, Superintendent of Police Gundala Raghavendra Reddy, SDPO Uma Shankar Singh, and senior police officers, along with a forensic team, reached the scene to begin a thorough investigation.
