Patna: Union Home Minister Amit Shah tore into Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, accusing him of insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chhathi Maiya. In fact, Amit Shah slams Rahul Gandhi for his comments at multiple occasions. He declared that Bihar’s people will give a powerful answer to the Congress and Grand Alliance in the upcoming elections.
“Rahul Gandhi, your workers mocked PM Modi’s mother, and you used foul language against him. Now, you’ve disrespected Chhathi Maiya,” Shah said at a rally in Lakhisarai. “This is Bihar people here will respond through votes on November 6 and 11. When results come on November 14, your alliance will vanish.”
Shah’s remarks followed Gandhi’s comments at a Muzaffarpur rally, where Gandhi mocked Modi’s ‘Yamuna bath’ during Chhath Puja, calling it a “photo-op.” His statement triggered anger in Bihar, where Chhath is celebrated with deep devotion. Amit Shah slams Rahul Gandhi further, amidst the growing tensions in the region.
Continuing his attack, Shah accused Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress party of pushing Bihar into “jungle raj” and widespread corruption before 2005. “Back then, crime ruled Bihar. Industries shut down, and fear gripped the streets. Amit Shah slams Rahul Gandhi and the Congress for their past governance as well. Lalu and Rabri’s rule was an era of chaos,” Shah said.
He praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for restoring order and progress in the state. “Nitish Kumar ended jungle raj and started development. Under Modi’s leadership, Bihar saw real growth. Not a single corruption charge has tainted their governance. Every rupee goes toward people with low incomes and welfare,” he added.
Highlighting women’s safety, Shah lauded PM Modi’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, saying it symbolizes national respect for women.
Appealing to voters, Shah said, “When you vote for the lotus and arrow, you’re voting for Bihar’s future. Support the NDA to continue this journey of progress.”
