Mumbai : Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone celebrated her daughter Dua’s first birthday in a sweet and personal way—by baking a chocolate cake herself. Sharing a picture of the cake on Instagram, Deepika described it as her “love language.”
“My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday!” she captioned the post, delighting fans and followers.
Deepika and husband Ranveer Singh welcomed their daughter Dua on September 8, 2024. The couple officially announced her arrival on Instagram, writing: “Welcome baby girl 8.9.2024… Deepika and Ranveer.” They revealed her name on November 1, 2024, explaining that “Dua” means “a prayer” and represents the “answer to our prayers.”
The couple, fondly called DeepVeer by fans, had announced their pregnancy in February 2024, sharing Instagram posts adorned with baby clothes, shoes, and balloons motifs. Deepika and Ranveer fell in love on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and tied the knot in November 2018. Their private wedding at Lake Como, Italy, combined traditional Konkani Hindu and Sikh Anand Karaj ceremonies, glimpses of which they later shared with fans.
Deepika was last seen on the big screen in Rohit Shetty’s 2024 action-comedy Singham Again, starring alongside Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.
