Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The agricultural festival Nuakhai was celebrated with devotion at Raj Bhavan, Odisha. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati and First Lady Smt. Jayashree Kambhampati offered prayers to Maa Samaleswari, presenting new paddy and Navanna as part of the rituals.
The Governor extended warm greetings to the people of Odisha, stating that Nuakhai is a festival of gratitude towards Mother Earth and the farmers whose hard work sustains society. He emphasized that the festival strengthens family bonds, fosters harmony, and spreads goodwill among communities.
The event was attended by Raj Bhavan officials and staff, including Commissioner-cum-Secretary Rupa Roshan Sahu, who also partook in the rituals and Navanna Bhog.
In his message, Governor Kambhampati conveyed heartfelt wishes to farmers and citizens, praying for their prosperity, health, and happiness. He also urged collective efforts to transform Odisha into a progressive and leading state in agriculture.
