To enhance training, the government is investing in a world-class simulator worth ₹10 crore, which will allow firefighters to practice advanced techniques and respond effectively to complex emergency scenarios. Additionally, a national-level water rescue and life-saving training centre and a world-class scuba diving training facility are being established at Ramchandi near Konark. These centres will provide comprehensive training to firefighters, police personnel, and home guards for emergency preparedness and rescue operations.

The graduation ceremony also included tree plantation and oath-taking for the new firefighters, symbolizing growth, responsibility, and commitment to public safety. Dignitaries present at the event included the Deputy Chief Minister, ministers, senior officials of the Fire Services and Police Department, legislators, and family members of the trainees.

Chief Minister Majhi further stressed the importance of adapting to changing environments, adopting new knowledge and technology, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for Odisha’s citizens. Firefighters were reminded to maintain first aid kits and modern stretchers in all fire vehicles, ensuring preparedness for any life-threatening situation.

The Odisha Fire Services continues to set benchmarks in disaster management, emergency response, and life-saving operations, reinforcing its position among India’s most efficient state-level fire departments.
