Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The India Meteorological Department has warned that a Bay of Bengal low-pressure South Odisha system is set to bring heavy rains from August 12. Residents of South Odisha should prepare for the impact of the Bay of Bengal low-pressure South Odisha system and stay updated with the latest weather alerts.
From August 12, Koraput and Malkangiri may see thunderstorms, lightning, and winds speeding at 30–40 kmph, along with heavy to very heavy rain. Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal are also in line for intense downpours and gusty conditions.
Other parts of Odisha can expect light rain with thunder and strong winds.
