Doda, J&K : Tremors from a 4.1-magnitude earthquake shook parts of Jammu and Kashmir early Saturday morning, sending residents of the Doda district into a brief panic. The quake, with its epicenter located 5 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface, was also felt in parts of Himachal Pradesh, including Dharamshala.

Fortunately, no casualties or major damage have been reported so far. Rescue and disaster response teams are on high alert and closely monitoring the situation. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant but not panic, assuring full preparedness for any emergencies.

This marks the second earthquake in J&K within a month. On June 28, a 3.6-magnitude quake struck the region with its epicenter 9 km deep—also causing no reported damage.

Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR continues to experience frequent seismic activity. Over the past 14 days, the region has been rattled by five mild tremors, raising concerns among residents and prompting geologists to monitor tectonic movements more closely.
