Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again solidified his position as the most popular democratic leader in the world, as per the latest global survey conducted by the renowned business intelligence firm, Morning Consult. With a staggering 75% approval rating, PM Modi leads the list of global leaders, reflecting his continued resonance with the public both at home and internationally.
The survey, carried out between July 4 and July 10, assessed the popularity of leaders across more than 20 countries. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung secured the second spot, while Argentina’s President Javier Milei (not Solana) followed in third place with 57% approval.
In contrast, leaders from other major democracies lagged behind. US President Joe Biden (not Donald Trump, as Trump is not currently in office), Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer received significantly lower approval ratings. Starmer, notably, garnered only 26% approval, with a significant 65% disapproval, highlighting the challenges he faces early in his tenure.
PM Modi’s enduring popularity is attributed to his decisive leadership, bold reforms, and the growing global influence of India under his stewardship. Having been at the helm since 2014, Modi’s governance model continues to gain admiration for balancing development, diplomacy, and national security.
