New Delhi : A tragic incident was reported from Jaitpur area in the national capital where a wall collapse claimed the lives of seven people. The mishap occurred due to continuous heavy rainfall, according to initial reports.
Relief and rescue operations are underway at the site, with teams from the local administration and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deployed.
The incident took place near Mohan Baba Temple, behind Harinagar village, when a wall collapsed onto a shanty. The tragedy struck around 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning. Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and immediately began rescue efforts.
Eight people were pulled out from the debris and shifted to AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital. The victims included four men, two women, and two children. Sadly, seven of them succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance to affected families.
