New Delhi : At the invitation of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, more than 50 leaders and MPs from 25 political parties gathered in the national capital for a high-level strategy meeting.
The meeting, which included key INDIA bloc figures, focused on alleged vote rigging in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi directly raised the issue of “vote theft,” targeting the Election Commission for failing to ensure fair polls.
Chief Ministers Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu (Himachal Pradesh), Siddaramaiah (Karnataka), and Revanth Reddy (Telangana) were among the prominent attendees. In a significant development, leaders from Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress—often critical of Congress and distant from INDIA bloc activities—also participated.
Senior leaders from SP, RJD, Shiv Sena, DMK, NCP, and CPI were present, signaling a stronger-than-expected alignment within the Opposition ranks. The gathering reportedly finalized strategies to corner the Modi government in Parliament and on public platforms in the coming weeks.
